back to work after a 6 days bicycle tour. During this trip no car nor plane was involved, from the start (London).
Bike Friday bicycles can easily be folded to take the train with. But unlike most of folding bicycles, they are as fast as any other "normal" bicycles, the frame is stiff enough to carry a payload without fuss. Best of all, they are made of steel and are rugged.

with me my trustworthy first prototype of atomefabrik sunglasses, made 4 years ago and still doing the job.

new website

After 4 years finally a new atomefabrik website
with a new content, a clearer layout and navigation, plus some new collection of items.
I am still working on adding the paypal carts, especially in the diesel section. But for now, I am having some vacations, cycling in the south of France. I will be back in London and at work the 23rd of August.

sunglasses, work in progress

atomefabrik goggles/ sunglasses are entirely made to measure: rims diameter, total width, pupil-pupil distance, arm length, colour...
every part is precision machined, assembled with socket head stainless screws. Fed up with glasses that never last ? broken arms and tiny screws lost on the floor? The concept is to provide a pair of shades that are very strong and can survive a few decades, yet light (less than 40g ), entirely serviceable and recyclable, and with the possibility to swap lenses.

steampunk photo shot and article

hello !
last winter (november 2011) the Evening Standard dedicated a full page to a steampunk style exercise. For those who haven't seen it I thought it was worth mentioning.

From wikipedia: the London Evening Standard is a free local daily newspaper, published Monday–Friday in tabloid format in London, England. It is the dominant regional evening paper for London and the surrounding area, with coverage of national and international news and City of London finance.
